Events & Training

We are passionate about innovation and know that while many people want to be more innovative they struggle with how to do it in practice. Our innovation training programs are open to applicants from startups, small businesses, well-established companies, the public sector and non-profits who want to learn how to be more innovative and apply that in their work. Individuals and small teams are invited to apply (group rates may apply in some cases). We also provide bespoke consulting and training for organizations on innovation by design processes and methods.

The Institute’s training programs are rooted in learning by doing and the use of divergent and convergent processes and methods to help you create solutions that address unmet needs of your clients or users. In most workshops, you’ll be assigned a real-world innovation challenge to give you practical experience using processes and methods that we have drawn from the fields of design thinking, service design and experience design.
